DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cole Beasley remains a free agent, but it's not because there is a lack of interested teams, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported on Tuesday.

"There is, I'm told, significant interest (in Beasley) across the league. But it's just a matter of waiting for the right opportunity, (and) significant money. He's not just going to play for a veteran minimum deal," Garafolo said.

As for where Beasley would like to end up? Count the Dallas Cowboys as one of the teams he'd be interested in playing for this season.

"To play with Dak I would," Beasley said in response to Roy White from Blogging The Boys questioning if the wideout would even want to play in Dallas on Twitter.

Beasley departed the Cowboys for the Buffalo Bills in free agency in 2019, but not before he took several shots at his former organization. The Little Elm, TX, native said the Cowboys front office didn't prioritize him in the offense and insinuated that COO Stephen Jones was misleading the media when he said they "made a run at re-signing" him before he left for Buffalo.

Then, there was the infamous quote about the Bills having better facilities than the Cowboys have at The Star.

The Cowboys have an obvious need at the wide receiver position with Michael Gallup's (ACL) status for Week 1 up in the air. 2022 third-round pick Jalen Tolbert and free agent addition James Washington are the other receivers behind CeeDee Lamb in the pecking order after Dallas traded away Amari Cooper this offseason.

The Bills saved $6 million by releasing Beasley in March. In three seasons with Buffalo, the 33-year-old wide receiver accumulated 227 receptions, 2,407 yards and 11 touchdowns.
