Grizz fall in NYC, head to Boston for game Wednesday night on 92.9 FM ESPN
The Grizzlies jumped out to an early 30-30 tie at the end of the first quarter, only for the Knicks to go on a decisive 12-0 run just before quarter’s end and roll into a 42-30 lead. By halftime New York had extended the margin to 77-54, as their offense kicked into high gear.
For the Knicks, Jalen Brunson produced 32 points and 10 assists and Karl‑Anthony Towns added 21 points and 13 rebounds. Memphis had efforts from Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama each with 19 points, and Ja Morant recorded a double-double (16 points, 10 assists) though he was just 4-of-14 from the field.
The Knicks led by as many as 28, and despite the Grizzlies mounting a late 33-15 run in the fourth quarter to cut it to 10, Memphis couldn’t sustain the comeback.
