ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - "Yadi. Yadi. Yadi."
The chant echoed through downtown St. Louis on Wednesday afternoon as the St. Louis Cardinals catcher completed the team's second walk-off victory in as many games. St. Louis also completed a three-game sweep of the Miami Marlins in the 1-0 victory.
The ninth-inning single by Molina scored Paul Goldschmidt, who consdiently, was the hero last night. In case you forgot about Tuesday night, here's what Goldschmidt did in the bottom of the ninth:
The Cardinals got a career-best seven shutout innings from starter Johan Oviedo, then Ryan Helsley and Andrew Miller combined for two scoreless innings of relief. Oviedo allowed six hits, struck out four, walked none and 63 of his 87 pitches were strikes.
St. Louis heads to Atlanta for a four-game series against the Braves starting Thursday.
