University of Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm has declared for the NFL draft, the guys on Dukes & Bell have strong opinions on what that means for the Dawgs 2020 season.

Mike thinks that Georgia can still be a national championship contender.

“You go back and look at the hype machine about Jake, he gets the job and he was the real deal, ultimately he just fell short of the national championship, but as a Freshman he got you the big Rose Bowl win.” Bell said “I do believe whether Kirby will go with a Stetson Bennett, a Dwan Mathis can win this job or is it the next big thing, we’ve talked about all the guys on the depth chart but do you really think a freshman can’t come in here and do what Jake did?”

Carl said that you can’t just plug and play quarterbacks in the SEC.

“I think a freshman with the type of personnel around Jake that was there at the time can come in and do what Jake did.” Dukes said “I’m down because I’m a realistic in the fact that you’re not just going to plug and play at quarterback in the SEC. My thing is do you have a guy that’s going to take you to the college football playoff and beyond, and you just had a three year starter who couldn’t take you there.”
