Between the trade of Matt Ryan and the lack of significant additions in free agency, the Falcons are expected to struggle in 2022, despite the organizations lack of willingness to call it a rebuild.
Even though this season is expected to be a difficult one, it seems to be a necessary one for the team to succeed in the long run, and john and Hugh break down how a tough year in 2022 could lead to a quick resurgence in 2023 and beyond.
"Mr. Blank let it be known that next year is the year (the Falcons) will load up and try to make a push," says Hugh Douglas. "They're looking to make a huge splash in free agency, I think they're going to be real active in free agency next year. You're going to have a lot of money."
"If you get a good draft spot next year, and you have a good draft spot this year, and you draft really well and $110 Million under the cap, you can win the division in 2024, maybe even 2023" says John Fricke.
