As the Atlanta Falcons start their search for their next Head Coach and General Manager, reports about who the Falcons are requesting to interview are already coming in.

Yesterday, NFL Network’s insider Tom Pelissero reported the Falcons have requested interviews with Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver for their head coaching vacancy.  ESPN’s Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter also reported yesterday that Former Browns Head Coach Kevin Stefanski is expected to speak with the Falcons about their head coaching vacancy as well.

Earlier today The Morning Shift reacted to these reports and gave their thoughts on what kind of Head Coach they want to see the Falcons hire.

“It has got to be an offensive guy, and I want an offensive guy that is young and lively and can bring this thing into this century. That’s what I’m looking for.” Mike Johnson said

The Atlanta Falcons finished the season ranked 24th in scoring offense at 20.8 points per game, and even with the injuries they suffered that’s too low for a team that had the talent they did on offense, so whoever the next coach is they’ll definitely be tasked with improving that number and making sure Atlanta’s offense capitalizes and takes advantage of the talent they have.
