With the 2025 NFL Draft nearly 48 hours away, once the Atlanta Falcons are on the clock with the 15th overall pick, assuming they do not trade the selection, conversations surrounding them selecting an EDGE player to help their pass rush will be addressed. However, on Tuesday, Audacy NFL Insider, Ross Tucker joined 92-9 The Game’s Dukes and Bell and shared his thoughts on how the Falcons may still be able to boost their defensive line even if they moved out of the 15th pick.
“I love the idea, depending on who’s there in the first round, I would love if they could move down and pick up some extra picks,” Tucker said as he noted several top defensive pass rush prospects including Abdul Carter will likely not be available for the Falcons once their time to select is up, yet the team would still be able to draft multiple impactful defensive players by moving back in the draft and acquiring more draft picks.
“I don’t even think they’ll get Mykel Williams. I would love to see them double up on the d-line with one edge guy and one interior. This is the draft to do it and I think the Falcons could slide down into the twenties and pick up some more picks and still be able to double dip,” Ross added.
Currently there have been no reports of the Falcons looking to move out of the 15th pick.
