On Wednesday Andy & Randy started to turn the page to the off-season for the Georgia Bulldogs and some of the questions facing Georgia as they start their quest to three-peat as National Champions.
“What’s important now, W-I-N. That’s our motto. And I know people think that’s like unheard of but you actually have to. There will be time to take off, it’s just not today. Decisions are imminent. We have several players on our team who stuck it out. Like, like they didn’t have to. They could have said I’m going in the portal. We had several guys that said Coach I’d like to go into the portal, I’m going to go in the portal but I want to win a National Championship and like that makes me want to cry. Because they did it for the team over themselves and that makes me really proud,” Kirby Smart said after winning back-to-back National Championships.
“Hell yeah. If I got a chance to win a ring I can wait a couple of weeks. But I think they are probably going to lose at least 10 guys (to the portal),” Randy replied in reaction to Kirby Smart’s comments.
“You have to make a sacrifice to play at Georgia. I know we see Brock Bowers catching all them passes and everything, Brock Bowers is on the punt team.
Brock Bowers covers kicks. Like you are going to have to play a role that you might not want to play on this team and some guys don’t want to have that role, which I can’t blame them…good luck to you and everything and we are just going to flash another ring you should have got with us (Georgia).” Randy added.
“People are going to leave. People leave every program,” Andy replied.
“What is the actual biggest question…it’s interesting to say about a team that’s won 29 out of 30 and back-to-back National Championships. But what’s the thing that stands out to you as alright they got to make sure they get this right in order to actually be back in this thing (National Championship) next year?” Andy asked Randy.
“Quarterback of course…That and how many lineman you lose on the offensive side of the ball,” Randy replied.
