As the Georgia Bulldogs continue their preparations for the College Football Playoff semifinals matchup with the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, discussions about which team will prevail and advance seem to remain in favor of the Bulldogs.
On Friday, 92-9 The Game’s Morning Show with John and Hugh weighed in on the conversation as well sharing their thoughts as to what Saturday’s outcome will be, with both host agreeing that Georgia will be victorious.
However, both John and Hugh noted that despite their loss to Michigan and some of their slow starts in some games, the Buckeyes are still loaded with enough talent offensively that could give the Dawgs issues matchup wise.
“What worries you the most in regard to not winning the football game,” John Fricke asked as the two host previewed the game. “I think that the defensive line (Georgia) against that Ohio State offensive line, I would probably lean more toward Georgia,” Hugh Douglas said in his response to Fricke’s question.
Douglas went on to point out that the Buckeyes are a very talented team, however in his opinion, the scale is tipped in favor of the Bulldogs when coming down to total talent level.
“But I just think that across the board, Georgia has a better squad,” Douglas added. The two hosts agreed that if there is a need for Georgia fans to be concerned, the wideout tandem of Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka could cause matchup issues for Georgia if the Dawgs are not able to keep Buckeyes quarterback CJ Stroud from getting comfortable in the pocket.
“That’s the key isn’t it? You have to be able to get to him without blitzing,” Fricke asked.
