Could Georgia run away with SEC championship against Texas?

Is there a chance that Georgia repeats what they did to Texas this weekend in the SEC Championship Game?

The Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns are set to play for the second time this season in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday. Both teams have likely secured their slot in the College Football Playoff, but an SEC title and a first-round bye are on the line this weekend.

The Dawgs won the sloppy first edition of this game in Austin by 15 points, but they open up as a 2.5-point underdog. Could we see a similar type of result the second time around? Mike Griffith from DawgNation certainly seems to think so.

"I'm here to tell you, you're not talking me out of Georgia beating Texas," Griffith said during his weekly appearance on The Steakhouse. "I don't think they're unbeatable. [Georgia] put 30 on them back when Carson [Beck] wasn't playing as he is right now, and zero is back — the 235-pound battering ram [Roderick Robinson].

"They're going to test that Texas line, and if those receivers catch the ball, this is a game that Georgia wins by 10 points."

If that ends up coming to pass, Georgia could surge to the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Playoff. If the Dawgs drop the game, the worst case would likely be a road trip in the first round.

Regardless of the secondary impacts of winning the SEC championship could be, coming out on top in this game would still be a feather in either program's cap.
