ESPN/SEC Network college football analyst and former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback, D.J. Shockley, joined The Midday Show on Tuesday as the Dawgs prepare for their Week 3 matchup against Tennessee.
Quarterback Stetson Bennett IV led the Bulldogs to a 24-6 win over the Auburn Tigers in his first career start at Georgia. Bennett replaced redshirt freshman D'Wan Mathis after just six series in Week 1 against Arkansas.
Bennett heads into Saturday's game against the Vols having completed 65 percent of his passes for 451 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
So what makes Bennett so special?
"I think the number one thing is the dude is poised," Shockley told Andy and Randy. "He's composed. He doesn't let things rile him, and you can see that when you're watching the game or you can see how he handles himself at the line of scrimmage when certain stuff happens.
"He does such a good job inside the pocket, and then makes good decisions. Rather than force the ball into bad coverage and it is not there, then he'll eat it or he'll throw it away. At the end of the day, that gives you a chance to win ballgames."
