It's been a bumpy ride for Geoff Collins since he took the reigns at Georgia Tech, and despite changing the culture of the program and doing very well with recruits on social media, that hasn't translated into wins.
Coming into a season where he's on nearly every "hot-seat" list that's been published, Geoff Collins is putting his job security in the hands of an ACC rival's former QB.
"We brought Chris Weinke in to coach QB’s former, Heisman winner and national Champion, and he gets to be in there with Jeff every single day, really excited to see his development," said Collins when he joined John Fricke and Hugh Douglas. "He’s the first person in the building, last one to leave, always in the film room. Excited to see Jeff take the next big step in his progression and development.”
Collins has a head coaching record of 9-25 since joining the Yellow Jackets program in 2019 after going 15-10 at Temple in 2017 and 2018.
