The National Championship game will go on as scheduled with Alabama and Ohio State meeting at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Monday at 8 p.m.
The Crimson Tide are 9-point favorites over the Buckeyes, who are dealing with a rash of COVID-19 issues heading into the biggest game of their season.
The Midday Show with Andy and Randy break down their keys to a victory for either team tonight but said ultimately it comes down to exactly how healthy Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is.
"Justin Fields' health, to me, is question mark No. 1," Andy Bunker said. "What he looks like during this football game and his ability to be 'Justin Fields,' is the bottom line for me as far as Ohio State's chance to win this football game."
"If Ohio State is going to win, Justin Fields has to be the best player on the field."
Fields took a brutal helmet hit to the ribs in their semifinal win over Clemson on January 1. He did continue to play after being helped to the sideline where he told reporters he received an injection or two.
"What I need it to look like is Deshaun Watson's performance against Alabama (in 2016). And he was the reason that they won that football game. That's what Justin Fields has to do tonight if they're going to beat Alabama in this game."
Looking at Ohio State defensive tackle Haskell Garrett's IG video, Fields looks pretty darn healthy.
