One arrested in connection to carport fire in Thousand Oaks

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (KNX) – A woman was arrested in connection to a carport fire in Thousand Oaks Saturday night.

The carport was located at the Oaks Knoll Villas in the 400 block of Arbor Lane Court.

Ventura County firefighters responded to the scene just after 7:20 p.m., according to a tweet by the department.

Fire officials said 13 cars caught fire and the carport itself was damaged.

Multiple outlets confirm an arrest was made in the fire. NBC Los Angeles reported that a woman was arrested for driving under the influence. Her identity has not been revealed. Officials believe she collided with another car which caused the fire to start.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
