These are the 15 contestants competing in the ‘Jeopardy!’ Tournament of Champions

The search for a permanent “Jeopardy!” host continues, but the classic game show will air its Tournament of Champions, beginning on May 17.

Buzzy Cohen, who won the 2017 Tournament of Champions, will guest host this year’s series of games, which take place from May 17 to May 28. The competition will see 15 former top game-winning contestants return to vie for a cash prize of $250,000.

Who will be competing for that big chunk of cash?

The contestant who is believed to do well in the completion is Jason Zuffranieri. In 2019, he won 19 games and had already taken home over $500,000, according to Newsweek.

His skills make him the third-highest winner on the show begins Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer.

Here is the line-up of contestants:

MONDAY, MAY 17 (DAY 1)

Jason Zuffranieri

Zuffranieri is a math teacher from Albuquerque, New Mexico who appeared on the show in July of 2019. He has won a total of 19 games.

Ryan Bilger

In July of 2019, Bilger appeared on "Jeopardy!" He is a graduate student from Macungie, Pennsylvania who has won four games with total winnings go $109,049.

Sarah Jett Rayburn

She is a writer and stay-at-home mother from Hutto, Texas. Rayburn competed on the show in April of 2020 and has won four games. Her total prize money came out to $90,300.

TUESDAY, MAY 18 (DAY 2)

Karen Farrell

In December of 2019, Farrell won eight games and total winnings of $160,603. She is a political consultant from Chesapeake, Virginia.

Nibir Sarma

Sarma won the 2020 College Championship which he earned a $100,000 prize. He is a college junior from Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Steve Moulds

He is a playwright from Louisville, Kentucky who appeared on the show in October of 2019. Moulds won three games and earned $86,603.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 19 (DAY 3)

Jennifer Quail

In her spare time she is a wine tasting consultant, but in December of 2019 she won $230,800 by winning eight games in “Jeopardy!” Quail is from Dowagiac, Michigan.

Paul Trifiletti

Trifiletti is an attorney from Athens, Georgia who made his appearance in March of 2020. He won five games and $107,801.

Ryan Hemmel

Hemmel is a legal technology professional from Los Angeles, California. He won four games in November of 2018 and his total winnings were $105,526.

THURSDAY, MAY 20 (DAY 4)

Mackenzie Jones

In February of 2020, Jones won eight games and $206,808. She is a STEM programming coordinator from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Kevin Walsh

Walsh is a story analyst from Williamstown, New Jersey. He won six games in October of 2020 with total winnings of $113,301.

Ben Henri

He is a choral music director from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Henri won the 2020 Teachers Tournament and earned $100,000.

FRIDAY, MAY 21 (DAY 5)

Sam Kavanaugh

Kavanaugh won five games with total winnings of $157,202. He is a teacher from Carlton, Minnesota.

Andy Wood

Wood is a writer from Ann Arbor, Michigan. On “Jeopardy!,” he won four games with total winnings of $93,999.

Veronica Vichit-Vadakan

She is a librarian from Portland Oregon. The contestant appeared on the show in January 2020 while winning four games and $90,001.
