(93.7 The Fan) New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning announced Friday he is retiring from the NFL.

Manning played all 16 of his seasons with the Giants, finishing with a 117-117 win/loss record and two Super Bowl victories in 2007 and 2011.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger chimed in on the retirement of the younger Manning brother.

From the '04 Draft to your great Championships, you exude class both on and off the field, I have admired your career, Eli. Much respect Champ! -- Ben. #EliManning pic.twitter.com/sLEsbC49lg

Manning was drafted first overall in the 2004 draft by the San Diego Chargers, but was flipped to the Giants minutes later for Philip Rivers.

Roethlisberger was taken by the Steelers with the 11th pick.

Both of Manning's Super Bowl victories came against six-time champion Tom Brady.

Brady also had a comment on Manning's retirement.

Congratulations on your retirement, and a great career Eli! Not going to lie though, I wish you hadn't won any Super Bowls.

Two of Brady's three losses in the Super Bowl came against Manning.

Manning will be finishing with over 57,000 passing yards and 366 passing touchdowns, both of which rank 7th all time.
