PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Penguins coach Mike Sullivan says that centers Evgeni Malkin and Nick Bjugstad will be out "longer-term" after both sustained injuries in Saturday's 7-2 win against the Blue Jackets.
Sullivan says both are lower-body injuries and that Malkin will be out longer than Bjugstad.
The good news is it appears Malkin's injury will not be season-ending.
Malkin was injured in the second period on Saturday after and awkward fall and then was checked into the boards.
