February 11, 2020 The Pens breakout rookie was struck in the face by a puck during Pittsburgh’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on February 6th.
The surgery was performed at UPMC Mercy by Dr. Mark Ochs of the UPMC Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Marino – who has five goals and 20 assists this season, making him the second ranked defensemen on the team — is expected to miss three to six weeks.
