PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) –The Penguins have traded center Derick Brassard and forward Riley Sheahan and three draft picks to the Florida Panthers for forward Nick Bjugstad and center Jared McCann.

Fan Penguins Insider Jason Mackey with the Post-Gazette says the move helps improve the Penguins’ size.

Penguins very clearly wanting to get bigger. Bjugstad is 6-foot-6, 215 pounds. Had 24 goals in 72 GP in 2014-15. Never thought Panthers would trade him.
