PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – The Pirates placed Jacob Stallings on a 7-day concussion I.L and will bring catcher Taylor Davis from Triple-A Indianapolis to the Major League.
Davis played 12 games with Triple-A Norfolk before being acquired by the Pirates in June in exchange for minor league outfielder Jose Berroa.
In 50 minor league games between Norfolk and Indianapolis, 31-year-old Davis hit .253 (39-for-154) with two home runs and 22 RBI. He was originally selected in 2008 First-Year Player Draft by the Florida Marlins in the 49thround.
To make sure for Davis, RHP Bryse Wilson was transferred to the 60-day injured list and infielders Rodolfo Castro and Oneil Cruz along with RHP Roansy Contreras have been transferred from Double-A Altoona to Triple-A Indianapolis.
