Bruce Arians seemingly throws Tom Brady under bus (again)

Sunday night was a horrendous night for the entire Buccaneers team, as they lost 38-3 to division rival New Orleans.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay offense were certainly right in the middle of it, mustering just 194 yards from scrimmage. Brady threw three interceptions and the Bucs set an NFL record by running the ball just five times all game.

In the first game with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski all on the field, none of Tampa Bay's big-name receivers were able to put up much production.

Evans led the way with 64 yards on four receptions and tied for the team lead in targets with six, but apparently Tampa Bay coach Bruce Arians thinks he could have been targeted much more.

"He didn't get targeted. That's all. Mike was open," Arians said in his Monday press conference.

Although Arians didn't mention Brady during that comment, it certainly comes across as criticism of his quarterback for not finding or getting the ball to the open receiver.

Of course, it's not the first time Arians has criticized the GOAT this season. After Tampa's Week 1 loss to the Saints, Arians pinned a pair of interceptions on Brady. He walked back half of that criticism the next day, but doubled down on the other half.

The Buccaneers are now 6-3 on the season. Brady is still fourth in the NFL in touchdown passes with 20, but he's also now tied for fifth in interceptions with seven.
