Dates for Pitt’s ACC games including pair on Friday

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – We knew the Pitt football season would begin on September 5 against Miami, Ohio, but the ACC schedule is now out with an early Thursday night home game along with the first road game at James Franklin and Virginia Tech on a Friday night-the first of two Friday night games.

That Hokies game is the first of three away from home in October. There are only three games in November and one at home with the finale at Cal on November 28.

1st meeting since 1949

·     Saturday, September 12 UCF
Last meeting at Acrisure Stadium, Panthers won on the Pitt Special pass to Kenny Pickett

·     Thursday, September 17 Syracuse
Panthers hosted the Orange for its last Thursday night game in 2024 and have won 7 of the last 8 in the series

·     Saturday, September 26 Bucknell
1st meeting since 1945

·     Friday, October 2 at Virginia Tech
James from Blacksburg meets Pat from Pittsburgh for road opener, and Franklin's first ACC game

·     Saturday, October 10 North Carolina
Bill Belichick returns to Acrisure, UNC leads series in Pittsburgh 5-4

·     Saturday, October 17 at Boston College
Mason Heintschel threw for 4 touchdowns in 48-7 win at home last year

·     Saturday, October 24 at University of Miami
