The Pirates have reportedly signed a veteran MLB pitcher to a minor league deal.
MLB insider Robert Murray says the Pirates have signed right-handed pitcher Wily Peralta to a deal.
Murray says he'll get an invite to Spring Training.
Peralta did not play in the MLB in 2023. He signed a minor league deal with Washington Nationals.
The 34-year-old went 2-0 in 2022 with the Detroit Tigers. He has a 2.58 ERA over 28 games, starting one.
Over 38.1 innings, He had 32 strike outs and 24 walks, giving up 34 hits.
He has a career ERA of 4.29.
He spent his first six years with Milwaukee before two years with the Kansas City Royals.
He didn't play in 2020 and spend the last two years with the Tigers.
Pro Baseball Reference projects Peralta will go 2 and 2 with an ERA of 3.79 in 2024.
