He has two Super Bowl rings and is a future Hall of Famer. Now, retired Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is adding coach to his resume.
According to CBS Sports, Big Ben will be an assistant coach for the Quaker Valley 9 and 10-year-old team.
Roethlisberger has been enjoying retirement, spending more time with his family and started a podcast, “Footbahlin” nearly a year ago.
Along with coaching, Roethlisberger’s podcast, that he co-hosts with Spence, will continue.
Roethlisberger has had big names on his podcast including Merril Hoge, Brett Keisel, Bill Cowher, Mike Tomlin, Charlie Batch, James Harrison, Andrew McCutchen, Kenny Pickett, T.J. Watt and more.
Roethlisberger revealed on his latest episode that his son, Benjamin, has started playing football.
Roethlisberger has talked about coaching on his podcast in the past and has said he doesn’t want to coach at the professional level because of the time commitment it would take.
It’s unknown if Roethlisberger’s son is on the “Fighting Quakers” team, but he is around 10-years-old.
