CB Cory Trice activated by Steelers off Reserve/Injured list

The Steelers have activated cornerback Corey Trice Jr. from injured reserve.

Thursday was the last day the team could’ve activated him before losing Trice for the season.

Trice suffered a hamstring injury during the third game of the season, a 20-10 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers at home.

The 24-year-old was taken in the 7th round of the 2024 NFL Draft by Pittsburgh and missed his entire rookie season on the Reserve/injured list.

To make room on the 53-man roster, the Steelers released running back Jonathan Ward Wednesday.

Trice appeared in three games before his injured and has one interception and one pass defended against Broncos quarterback Bo Nix in a Week Two win in Denver.
