PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) — The Steelers just re-signed Ray-Ray McCloud, but they're also likely to lose JuJu Smith-Schuster in the coming days.

So where does that leave the possibility of the Steelers signing another wide receiver in free agency?

Regardless of the probability, it appears that there's one wide receiver who would be very interested in bringing his talents to Pittsburgh: John Brown.

Brown has had tenures with the Bills, Ravens, and Cardinals after Arizona selected the small-school pass-catcher in the third round of the 2014 Draft.

The speedster was taken out of Pittsburg State University, a tiny school in Kansas that might be more infamously known for their antics that ended with the Steel City getting roasted earlier this year.

But if Brown would happen to be signed by the Steelers and become a deep-ball windfall for Ben Roethlisberger, then maybe all is forgiven.

But on Thursday, in an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Brown spoke out about free agency and what teams he'd be OK with joining.

And he admitted that the Steelers made the shortlist.

"The Pittsburgh Steelers, Big Ben is definitely good with the deep ball and the Indianapolis Colts," Brown stated.

Whether anything comes to bear fruit is unknown, but a team-friendly deal could prove beneficial for both the Steelers and Brown.
