PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – The Steelers reportedly to add a former Cowboys interior lineman to either compete at guard or add depth there and at center. NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports Tuesday the Steelers have a one-year, $2.5 million deal with Brock Hoffman.
The 26-year-old was an undrafted college signing while Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy was in Dallas. In four years with the Cowboys he played in 54 games, all 17 in each of the last three years with 16 total starts.
At 6’4”, 302 pounds, it said in Hoffman’s bio on the Dallas website that he was one of the most physical players in the Cowboys locker room and brings an old-school mentality.

Hoffman was a starting right guard at Coastal Carolina and after he transferred to Virginia Tech, he started one game at left guard and the other 21 at center. He was also a semifinalist for the Wuerffel Trophy (centers around community service) and Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year.
