Yes, at 39-years-old quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was limited as to what he could on the field, the offensive line was subpar at best and wide receivers were dropping passes left and right.

Compound all that with offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

“Matt Canada’s awful,” said Fan Morning Show co-host Colin Dunlap on Monday morning. “He is a terrible offensive coordinator, you mess that with the inability to at least threaten defenses of throwing the ball 30 yards down the field without a big balloon arc and you just can’t do it.”

“It was a microcosm of the season, it really was, and that’s why Matt Canada needs to be replaced,” said Chris Mack.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Steelers once again gave up over 40 points in playoff game for the third straight time.

Mack says you can’t just chalk it up to the Chiefs offense being so good. Yes, the offensive put the defense in a bind at times but the Chiefs also had touchdown drives that started at their own 24, 26 and 20, you gotta make a stop at some point.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever see on my television that much green and that few defenders in my picture at one time,” Dunlap said with Mack adding it looked like the Chiefs were on the power play at times.

“Unfortunately I think they were doing what they were told to do and that is the scariest part of this,” said Mack.

Mike Tomlin isn’t going anywhere and shouldn’t be fired, but “I will tell you this Mike Tomlin should consider firing himself from being the guy who’s running the defense every single day and Art Rooney should consider telling him that that’s the way it got to be,” said Mack.

Mack says that “de-facto” defensive coordinator Keith Butler needs to go and Tomlin needs to stop calling the defensive plays and the organization needs to go out and find coordinators from outside the organization.
