It looked like Mitch Trubisky might get the start on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens at Acrisure Stadium.
But speaking to the media on Wednesday, Kenny Pickett said that he'll be ready to play.
Pickett said he was worried at first that it might be worse than the bone bruise it turned out to be.
"Got lucky it was what it was," said Pickett. "Pushing to go on Sunday."
Pickett said he won't have any limitations by Sunday and is wearing a knee brace for practice, there is a chance he won't need it on Sunday. But will wear it if he has to.
He added he is just wearing the brace during practice, but will wear it Sunday if he has to. He said he got the 'reps he needed to take' during the Wednesday padded workout.
Pickett was knocked out of the game against the Houston Texans.
He was 15-of-23 for 114 yards, no touchdowns and one interception before he left the game.
The Steelers are looking to improve to 3-2 on the season and first place in the AFC North before their Bye Week.
