Steelers interview three outside candidates for General Manager position

Just over one week has passed since Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II confirmed the report that General Manager Kevin Colbert would be retiring after the 2022 NFL Draft.

Speculation began to ensue among Steelers Nation as to who would take over for Colbert, part of two Super Bowl winning teams.

Interviews have already gotten underway, with internal candidates, Brandon Hunt and Omar Khan. The organization has just confirmed three external candidates were interviews for the position as well.

Cowden, the current Vice President of Player Personnel, is in his 22nd NFL season and sixth with the Titans. He originally joined the Titans as its Director of Player Personnel.

Dodds is the Colts' Assistant General Manager and was hired in 2017 from the Seattle Seahawks, where he was the Senior Personnel Executive in 2015 and 2016. Dodds has 13 years of NFL experience.

Woodson joined the Los Angeles Chargers in 2013 as its Director of Player Personnel and is still in that position. Prior to his time in L.A., Woodson was in the New York Jets organization holding positions such as its Assistant Director of Player Personnel and Assistant Director of Pro Scouting, among others.
