Steelers make several roster moves at linebacker

The Steelers are bringing back a linebacker that spent time on the roster last year.

The Steelers have signed Jacoby Windmon to their practice squad on Wednesday.

An undrafted free agent in 2024, Windmon signed with the Steelers last summer, but was cut by the team before the start of the season.

He was signed to the team’s practice squad in October 2024, before he was signed to Carolina’s active roster a month later.

He played in eight games for the Panthers last season, starting in two. He had 22 tackles and a sack-and-a-half in those games.

Windmon played in 41 college games, two seasons at Michigan State after he transferred from UNLV.

Earlier this week, the Steelers released linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley lost linebacker Jon Rhattigan to the Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster.
