According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Steelers are meeting with full back Kyle Juszczyk.
Schefter reports the pro bowler is meeting with Pittsburgh on Thursday.
The 33-year-old was taken by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
Juszczyk is also able to fill in at wide receiver, tight end and running back.
He spent eight of his 12 seasons in San Francisco before officially being released this week.
The nine-time Pro Bowler and one-time All Pro had five rushes for 26 yards and one touchdown along with, 19 catches for 200 yards with two touchdowns.
The 49ers save nearly $2 million against the cap this year with nearly $3.6 million in dead money.
