Tomlin says he understands fan frustration following another playoff loss
Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin knows his team failed again to make any headway in the NFL postseason.
He also knows that a lot of fans don't think he is the person that can lead the team to another Super Bowl anymore.
But, he still believes he has it takes to bring home a 7th Lombardi trophy to Pittsburgh.
"I understand the frustrations, and to be quite honest, I share it," Tomlin said in response to the heavy criticism he's faced.
'Words are hollow, it's more about what we do and less about what we say," he added.
Tomin also said he sees changes coming to all levels of the organization.
"I imagine there's going to be some things that change around here."
He also believes he is going to be able to adapt and change his approach to the head coaching job of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
One of those adaptions has been focusing heavily on defense when the NFL has swung toward a more dynamic offense.
The Steelers approach on offense appears to be keeping the ball safe from turnovers and running down clock to keep the defense off the field and less about scoring touchdowns.
Scraping out low-scoring games has gotten them into the playoffs, but it isn't working in the playoffs.
Tomlin also said, "two is a pattern".
Well, it's been since 2016 since a playoff win. We'll see what changes will come.
"We're not doing the same thing and hoping for different results," said Tomlin.
Looking from outside the locker room, things seem to be the same and they are, when it comes to results.
