Fan Morning Show host Colin Dunlap set off a firestorm on Monday on Twitter.
Dunlap and his son were on a mini vacation in Florida when he saw a family of four, all in black Steelers jerseys.
“When I see people like that, wearing four Steelers jerseys, it wasn’t’ like a polo shirt, it wasn’t just a hat, four Steelers jerseys, it’ going to be 132 degrees in Orlando yesterday, I go and sit far away from those people just because I want to forget about home when on vacation,” said Dunlap.
Dunlap says when he’s on vacation, he doesn’t want to talk about sports, not because that’s his job or people will even know who he is, but because he is on vacation and doesn’t want to think about home and get away. Not spend his time discussing Trubisky starting at quarterback or if Malkin will sign a new deal with the Penguins.
Dunlap says people can wear whatever they want on vacation, but he doesn’t understand why some people plan their vacation wardrobe around all Pittsburgh gear.
A lot of people didn’t seem to appreciate Dunlap’s Tweet.
Dunlap clarified that he isn't going to tell people what to wear and says even his daughter likes to wear Pittsburgh sports gear when on vacation.
"I'm wired different, I admit that, I just want to have peace on vacation," said Dunlap.
