Texas Governor Greg Abbott has said that he was misled by the Texas Department of Public Safety about the timeline of events in Uvalde on Tuesday and is "absolutely livid."

On Friday, Abbott announced the different state resources available to those impacted by the mass shooting Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in which 19 students and two teachers were killed.

However, he was later pressed by reporters on why his initial statements about the police response to the shooting did not match up with what was explained during a press conference earlier Friday with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Abbott was also asked about the state's gun laws and the possibility of new legislation moving forward in the wake of the tragedy in Uvalde, stating that "Everything is on the table."

Some lawmakers have called for a special legislative session to deal with issues that came from the shooting.
