Kirk Cameron, star of "Growing Pains," is in hot water.
Cameron is in trouble for hosting a Christmas caroling event with crowds, with not much social distancing and mask-wearing, outside a Thousand Oaks mall over the weekend, according to a story from Yahoo. He's hosted a previous caroling protest earlier this month too.
This, as California is under a newer regional stay at home order from Gov. Gavin Newsom, ICU bed capacity is running low in LA County, and in most of the state and country the COVID-19 cases and deaths reach staggering numbers.
This week saw the shipment of the new Pfizer vaccine across California that was administered to the healthcare workers in LA County and OC. With more vaccine shipments arriving, the California government is rolling out a new campaign to vaccinate all Californians under the slogan "Vaccinate All 58", as in all 58 counties in the state.
According to the Yahoo story, "Sunday’s caroling event was the second Cameron has hosted this month. The first on Dec. 6 had “over 500 people” singing in protest."
The mayor of Thousand Oaks had some words to say on ignoring public health guidelines, according to Yahoo and ABC 7 story.
"Liberty and freedom are very fragile and they come with great responsibility," said Mayor Claudia Bill-de la Pena in the ABC 7 story. "Continuing to hold large gatherings and ignoring all guidelines, I feel, is unchristian."
