(610 Sports) – Right on the heels of a really bad interception and headed into halftime down 13-10 to the Washington Football Team, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs looked like they could crack and come apart at the seams.
Fortunately for Chiefs Kingdom, that's not who this team is and that's not what they do. There' is a culture that's been instilled inside their locker room, a culture of making things happen when they need to and that's the sentiment that was echoed during halftime in the Chiefs' locker room at FedExField, on Sunday.

Joining Carrington Harrison and 'The Drive' on 610 Sports, Patrick Mahomes shared what happened in that locker room and how they were able to come out after halftime and get back to looking like the Chiefs team that played in the last two Super Bowls.
"So Andy(Reid) in his press conference said that you guys, the players, said "enough is enough" heading into the second-half," said Harrison. "Kind of paint the picture, set the scene for us, what halftime was like for you guys."
"Yeah, obviously it wasn't the way we wanted to play the first half," said Mahomes. "I mean we kinda came out strong at the very beginning but kinda slowed down, we started stalling out on our drives, some bad decisions made. I mean the way we ended the half with the interception I threw, it coulda derailed us."
"I think guys went to that locker room and said, "hey, let's go back at it, let's go out there and try to make something happen," Mahomes continued. "It wasn't even a lot of talk, really, it was just kind of everybody looking at each other told each other that we're gonna go get that "W," no matter what it takes."
Asked if he thought that mentality and the way that they played in the second half, could be a spark to get the Chiefs back on the path they think they should be at, Mahomes was hopeful at the prospect.
"Yeah, hopefully for sure," Mahomes responded. "You gotta kind of take it week-by-week at this point. Every team your'e playing this year has been a battle, so take it week-by-week knowing that we're playing a great opponent this next week but hope you can carry that momentum into that next game and hopefully carry it into the rest of the season."
