(610 Sports) - According to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, individual accolades in football are overrated. That's the type of sentiment you'd expect to hear from a player much less decorated than Kelce, who also joined Tony Gonzales and Jason Witten as the only tight ends to have five seasons with at least 80 receptions.

Kelce finished Sunday night's 22-16 win against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium with eight catches for 136 yards and a touchdown, eclipsing the 1,000 yard mark for the fifth consecutive season. He became just the 26th player in NFL history to record five straight 1,000 yard seasons, and the first tight end to accomplish the feat.

While Kelce is right in many aspects regarding individual accomplishments, it's hard to imagine that the Chiefs would still be the defending Super Bowl Champions, or be 11-1 this season, just the second time that has been the case in franchise history.

He really doesn't care how you win football games. He just wants to win,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said. “He's going to compete every single play. He's going to block, he's going to catch, he's going to run every single play. When you have guys that talented, and they don't care who gets the success, you have guys you can go out there and win with.”

With the win over the Broncos, the Chiefs became just the second team to clinch a playoff berth this season, joining the New Orleans Saints who clinched a spot earlier in the day. The Chiefs are also on the verge of locking up the AFC West for the fifth straight year, as long as they can avoid losing their last four games, with the Raiders winning out.
