Every week, Christine and Salt interview the Badass Woman of the Week, celebrating women who've conquered challenges and emerged stronger. The honoree receives an empowering B Badass bracelet from The Power to B and is showcased on-air Fridays at 7:15 AM with Christine and Salt.

This week's Badass Woman of the Week is Kate Mollison from East Granby. Kate is a Grief and Bereavement Counselor with an inspiring story that fuels her profession and business. Kate's website, "On Tuesdays We Wear Black," takes a personal approach to guide individuals and professionals through the grief and bereavement process. The name originates from a personal story close to Kate's heart. Her late husband, Craig, was an avid Broadway fan, particularly fond of the musical adaptation of "Mean Girls." He often quoted the famous line, "On Wednesdays, we wear pink," sporting a pink necktie every Wednesday in celebration. Tragically, Craig passed away on a Tuesday in November 2020, inspiring Kate to wear black on Tuesdays as a tribute. Kate is tirelessly working to change Connecticut state law to accommodate longer bereavement leave, similar to maternity leave, advocating for the rights of those experiencing grief. Listen below to Kate’s interview with Christine and Salt, where she uses humor and gratitude to help others find the peace she has found with grief.
