Each week Christine and Salt interview the Badass Woman of the Week, a feature that aims to reward women who have overcome a challenge and emerged stronger as a result. Each Badass Woman wins an empowering B Badass bracelet from The Power to B and is featured on-air Fridays at 7:15 A.M. with Christine and Salt in the morning.
This week's Badass Woman of the Week is Racquel Lunser of West Hartford — nominated by her friend, Corri Finocchiaro who writes, "Racquel deserves to be nominated because she has been uplifting women and men to never give up and keep going no matter what. She has been a fitness instructor for 25 years and — while going through hardships herself — has always continued to go above and beyond teaching her work-out-family that they can do it. She has been beyond uplifting and helped people overcome odds and reach goals they never thought possible!"
Racquel is a single mom, a social worker and girlfriend owns her own fitness studio — Racquel's Addiction Fitness in West Hartford where she loves to help people attain their fitness goals and get totally hooked on health while doing it. She tells Christine and Salt, "My main goal is to turn your 'I can’t' into 'I can and I will'." She has competed in bikini and fitness competitions, run in half marathons and loves teaching people how to set their goals higher and accomplish things they never believed possible.
