NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A 16-year-old boy was shot during an incident near New Britain High School on Tuesday, police said.
The boy shot near Mill and South Main Streets around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Police say he was conscious and alert after the shooting.
An exchange happened between the suspect and victim, leading up to at least one shot fired.
Police are looking for the suspect who fled in an early 2000s Nissan blue or gray sedan.
