Mets blanked the Padres earlier this morning at Citi Field. Taking two out of three from this weeks series.

The New York Mets took two out of three games from the San Diego Padres on Thursday morning at Citi Field. The hometown Friars finished the season series tied (3-3) with the Metropolitans.

Taking some positives from a tough road trip where the Padres finished (3-6) and (3-9) since the return from MLB All-Star Break. The hot talent lava that has been flowing since earlier this season proved itself on the mound.

The Padres struggles at the plate continued Thursday. They will look to rebound versus the San Fransisco Giants this upcoming weekend at Petco Park for a three-game series.
