The Padres dropped Game 1 of the NLCS 2-0, in a game featuring terrific starting pitching. Yu Darvish pitched well, allowing just 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7 over seven innings. But 2 of the hits he allowed were solo home runs, one to Bryce Harper and the other to Kyle Schwarber. Phillies starter Zack Wheeler was even better than Darvish, allowing just 2 baserunners while striking out 8 over seven shutout innings. It was a night where the Padres offense just couldn't get anything going or provide any run support for Yu Darvish. Game 2's pitching matchup will be Blake Snell vs. Aaron Nola at 1:35 on Wednesday.
