The Padres ended their 5-game losing streak with a 10-3 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday night. The Padres jumped on D'backs starter Brandon Pfaadt early, with Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jurickson Profar hitting back-to-back solo homers in the 1st inning, which extended Tatis' hitting streak to 13 games. Michael King wasn't his most efficient self, needing 98 pitches to get through 5 innings, but he didn't allow a run and struck out 5. Ha-Seong Kim also got in on the long ball fun, blasting his 8th of the season to straight away center field to put the Padres up 5-0 in the 6th inning, while Luis Campusano added 3 base hits of his own, which was a welcomed sight. Ketel Marte got Arizona back in the game with a 2-run homer in the 7th, followed by a solo shot from Lourdes Gurriel. But the Padres added 5 insurance runs in the 8th inning, highlighted by a 3-run double from Jurickson Profar with the bases loaded. Saturday evening's first pitch will be at 4:40.
