According to The Athletic's Dennis Lin, the Padres have reached a deal to hire Indians assistant pitching coach Ruben Niebla as the Padres next pitching coach. Niebla has been with the Indians since 2012 and worked with successful starting pitchers such as Corey Kluber, Trevor Bauer, Carlos Carrasco and Shane Bieber.
