According to The Athletic's Dennis Lin, the Padres have traded Luis Patino, Francisco Mejia, Blake Hunt and Cole Wilcox for Rays starter Blake Snell. The 2018 AL Cy Young Award winner has a career 3.24 ERA with 1.24 WHIP and 648 strikeouts in 556 innings pitched. Snell is under contract through the 2023 season.
