After being ranked No. 19 in the AP Top-25 earlier this week, the San Diego State Aztecs edged past the San Jose State Spartans with a 81-78 victory on the road Tuesday night.

Jaedon LeDee propelled the Aztecs to a third consecutive win to begin Mountain West Conference play, scoring 31 points and collecting 10 rebounds. LeDee shot 8-for-14 from the floor and went 14-for-19 from the free throw line.

Micah Parrish scored 13 points, while Lamont Butler finished with 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting. Jay Pal contributed with 10 points off the bench, and had a key block in the game's final minute to keep the Aztecs ahead.

The Aztecs improved to 14-2 overall, and continue conference play at New Mexico on Saturday at 11 a.m.
