San Diego FC improved to 7-2-4 with a 2-0 win over the Colorado Rapids at Snapdragon Stadium on Wednesday night. It was the club's third consecutive win. Christopher McVey got the scoring started with a goal in the 33rd minute on a header off of a corner kick to give the home squad a 1-0 lead. In the 58th minute, Anders Dreyer blasted a shot at the goal that hit the post, and was able to move past a defender, rebound his own shot and drill it home for the second goal of the game, as Dreyer's magical season continued. SDFC controlled the match with nearly 62% time of possession and a shot disparity of 28-8. The Rapids had an opportunity to cut their deficit in half on a penalty kick in the 72nd minute, CJ Dos Santos made a diving block, killing their best opportunity to score. SDFC will have another home match on Saturday night against Sporting KC.
