SDFC earned their second straight win on Saturday night, beating St. Louis City SC 2-1 on the road. This match was a defensive battle, with neither team scoring until Escondido's own Milan Iloski scored the match's first goal in the 79th minute. Anders Dreyer's fantastic season continued, as he scored an insurance goal 8 minutes later to put the match basically out of reach. St. Louis' Kylie Hiebert scored in the 91st minute, but it was too little too late. SDFC maintained their 4th place position in the Western Conference standings with Saturday's win. SDFC returns home for a Wednesday evening match against the Colorado Rapids.
