The Spartanburg Police Department issued the following release Sunday.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 12, 2020) On April 11, 2020, around 11:20 PM, officers from the Spartanburg City Police Department responded to a shooting incident at 520 South Center Street.
Once on the scene, officers observed two males on the front porch of the home. One male was attempting to administer aid to the other. The victim was unconscious on the front porch when police arrived.
The victim was transported the Spartanburg Medical Hospital by EMS to be treated for his injuries.
Officers learned, the victim was visiting a neighbor’s home (520 South Center Street) when he was shot by an unknown suspect. At this point, there is no information about the suspect.
Spartanburg Police are currently interviewing witnesses. This investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information to release.
